Welcome to Lorain Skate World

Our goal is simple: a safe, clean, fun place for families and skaters of all ages.

We take pride in maintaining a positive environment where everyone can enjoy skating. Most guests have a great time here — and we want to keep it that way.

To make that possible, we operate with clear rules and expectations. By entering Lorain Skate World, you agree to follow the policies below. Guests who choose not to follow them may be asked to leave without refund.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep Lorain Skate World a place where everyone can have fun.

Our Core Expectations

These are the rules that matter most.

Respect others.
Guests must treat staff and other skaters with respect. Disrespectful, aggressive, or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.

No fighting or rough behavior.
Any fighting, threatening behavior, or activity that puts others at risk will result in immediate removal.

Follow staff instructions.
Our team is here to keep everyone safe. Instructions from staff must be followed at all times.

Skate responsibly.
Reckless skating, weaving through crowds, or dangerous behavior is not allowed.

When you leave, you leave.
There are no in-and-out privileges during public sessions.

Management reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any guest who disrupts the environment we work hard to maintain.

Skating Safety

Roller skating is a fast-moving activity and falls can occur. By choosing to skate, guests acknowledge and accept the inherent risks involved in skating activities.

For your safety and the safety of others:

Skate at a reasonable speed.

Do not stop or stand in the middle of the floor.

Do not carry phones, food, or personal items onto the skating floor.

Do not pick up or carry children while wearing skates.

Follow all announcements and session programming.

If you are unsure of your skating ability, please skate cautiously and remain near the wall.

Behavior Standards

To maintain a family-friendly environment:

Profanity, abusive language, or threatening behavior is not permitted.

Alcohol, drugs, or intoxication are strictly prohibited.

No weapons or items resembling weapons.

No gum inside the building.

Smoking or vaping is not allowed.

Guests not meeting these standards may be asked to leave.

Parents & Unaccompanied Minors

Lorain Skate World is a roller skating rink, not a drop-off hangout.  Unaccompanied minors may be required to have a Globeroller card.

Unaccompanied minors must purchase admission and must be skating.

Children should be picked up within 15 minutes of closing.

Guests under 16 may not leave the building during a session without a parent.

For safety reasons, staff cannot supervise children after closing and cannot provide rides home.

Food & Outside Items

Outside food and beverages are not permitted.

Exceptions:

Birthday cakes or cupcakes for booked birthday parties only

Treat bags distributed at the end of the party

Final Note

Lorain Skate World has proudly served the community by providing a clean, safe place for people to skate and socialize.

Most guests help us maintain that environment, and we appreciate it.

If you ever see something that needs attention, please let our staff know.

We’re glad you’re here. Enjoy the skate!
