Frequently Asked Questions

Why are you doing this?

Like many family entertainment venues, we have experienced an increase in behavior issues involving unattended minors.

In recent years, we have had to eliminate certain teen sessions and increase supervision measures in order to protect the family atmosphere that Lorain Skate World has always been known for.

The Globeroller Club allows us to communicate with parents when necessary and hold minors accountable for behavior expectations while still giving responsible teenagers a place to skate and socialize.

Members who violate rink rules or create safety concerns may have their membership privileges suspended or revoked.

What are the benefits?

From time to time, Globeroller Club members may be eligible for:

  • Prize raffles
  • Special members-only late skates
  • Future club events and activities

We believe roller skating has always been an important part of growing up, and we want to continue providing that experience for respectful and responsible young people.

What if I do not want to register my child?

The Globeroller Club is optional.

However, minors who are not registered must remain under the supervision of a responsible adult for the duration of their visit.

A parent or guardian may supervise up to FIVE children, including friends or relatives attending together.

Adults who are not skating must leave a government-issued ID at the front desk while the children they are supervising are in the building. The ID will be returned when leaving together.

If the supervising adult leaves the facility, the children they are responsible for must leave as well.
